850 blew up. So my 2022 assault 850 with 1255km blew up the other day. No reasons at all was going on a nice straight and just shut down. I guess the top and the bottom end are gone. What would cause it. Dealer is saying codes show over heating but it was running 100 to 110. Sled had never been over heated ever.

Took it to my dealer and found out I was out of warranty by a month. I come from a long run of arctic cats where I could put 5000 or 6000 miles on the motor and never think about taking the top end off. The thought of having to freshen up the motor after each season is a big turn off regardless of the manufacture.

Then take off the oil press sender wire, elec cable to the starter, and the 2 starter bolts (all the bolts and the spare starter can be seen in my "tools" pic below just beyond my fingertips). 15 min job for me.
