They're some of the legendary virtuoso's most demanding music. They're designed to build performing skill and be engaging and enjoyable at the same time.

I think it depends on a pianist's strength. #5 would definitely be the hardest to learn. #4 is physically taxing but #12 will be harder to make it sound well. #10 seems like it has more awkward spots than La Campanella. I didn't know #2 is also considered the harder one.
