8 nights is fine, the Outrigger Waikiki Beach is fine, assuming you are getting two rooms if the kids are teens or older; the rooms in the OWB are on the small side. I like the OWB and the Outrigger Reef and recommend them a lot, especially for the value. About five years ago, we were planning to rent a home on Oahu for 11 people. At the time, we could find many places for around $5,000-7,000 for a week, oceanfront. Unfortunately, due to illness we couldn’t go.

7 nights on Oahu - 2 adults in their 60’s - October 24-31. We’ve been to Hawaii maybe 25 times but not in the last 20+ years. We’ve hit the all the guidebook must-dos in the past so this trip was all about new experiences and taking advantage of the big city sites. November on average is the second wettest month on Oahu.
