I just had Jaheira die at the same place you did. She hadn't joined the party at that point. It wasn't an option for her to join the party at that point. She was just a follower. She wasn't a party member. She was just a Harper. You can't revive any of the Harpers that die in that battle. That is something you can only do with your party members.
Go to Moonrise Towers first. Talk to people there. You can literally chill around, they aren't hostile, they think you're one of them. There's merchants with good gear and quest lines in there. Do NOT go through the final part of the temple at this point, that's what will lock you out. If Nightsong dies, Jaheira is at risk of dying when the Shadow Curse spreads and overpowers Isobel’s barrier. After this is the hardest task, keeping Jaheira alive during the attack on Moonrise Towers. She loves going into the middle of the enemies, and she can’t withstand all the attacks from that.
Can you recruit Jaheira and Halsin? To recruit Halsin to your party properly, you'll have to progress the quest to lift the Shadow Curse. I learned that if you do beat Thorm, you can still lift the curse. You have to go back to last light. There's a quest there I didn't do. If the tiefling on the bed is dead, cast Speak with Dead on him and he'll give you information on Thaniel.
