Crystal bow destroys rcb at bandos no matter the method. Upon dps calc, you are in fact right my good sir. 6:0 is the worst range method to use at bandos because of how many tics you lose in the cycle as it’s the longest cycle. But 7:0 / 9:0 are waaay sweatier. 6:0 is no tick loss and no inv lost to cannon base.
Not worth using without corruption unless you literally are guaranteed a tbow next week. Any shards currently in the bofa will count towards the corruption, So theres no problem in using it already. That's an incredibly low bar though. You have 90 seconds on the respawn timer, and each boss has 255 hp. That means you can do less than 3 dps and still kill it in time. Most of the best weapons in the game are around 10 dps. Bowfa likely doesn't even rank in the top 100 in dps in this case. I don't think this highlights how good the bowfa is ...
The bow is pretty decent at venenatis, I did about 270 kills with it (wear crystal top+bottom). It is also very useful for killing the vents at the abyssal sire. Its really sick using it at bandos doing 6:0 and super easy to learn. Imo it wasnt worth using at zammy and I preferred just doing melee kills.
Just use RCB with rubies and dhide, it's better DPS. DCB if you want (main benefit is using dragon ruby bolts - ACB isn't really worth the cost). It's similar or better than addy darts blowpipe on low def monsters, and bp wins with better darts. Bow is generally very strong against high def targets, but will lose to tbow if the target has very high magic. Crystal in general is a bit of a commitment for mains. Since it costs crystal shards to make the armour / weapon if you need to sell you will lose out on that creation cost. It can add up to quite a few mil. This goes quite literally 20x for corrupting the bowfa.
You don’t “need” the crystal helmet for most content however it definitely helps where you can use it. Most of the time you’ll leave it in the bank until you get comfortable with a raid and feel like you can bring more switches which in turn raises dps and become more efficient. Reply reply.
