Haven't tried strength/dex/int/faith builds yet (shoutouts to power stance erdsteel daggers), but the rapid strikes of these things build up status and stun lock a surprising amount of enemies in the game, akin to how the Blades of Mercy in Bloodborne invalidate some enemies.
