The first thing I did was remove the pins connecting the quilt to the longest leader cloth. I needed to be able to stitch beyond the edge of the quilt and didn’t want to hit pins or the leader cloth as I secured down the edge. At first I moved some pins to hold down the quilt top, then I tried just stitching along the edge without pins.
