I have a c20 with 8600 gvwr and I am under the impression I can’t use the kit either. I am also wondering why if the frame is the same 1/2 to 3/4 ton. The frames are not the same. There are posts on this forum that list the differences. I assume the >8200 is either taller or thicker and therefore the kit doesn't physically fit.

These guys are right, the kickup hits the cab. I just put channels in the cab to clear the frame. There was some misalignment between the bodymounts, but I made the mounts go to the body....
