The transmission started making a clunking noise (kind of shakes when you put into drive) when I was driving at 50 km in town and was slowing down. I noticed on my 2013 F E titanium , just happened a few times lately when leaving from a parking spot and it's noticeable when shifting from reverse to drive , even with brake pedal applied, as the vehicle moves forward a jerky or shudder feeling is felt for a few seconds. I own a 05 Escape and had the same problem. At least one of your cylinders has a faulty fuel injector and ignition coil, mine had two. It gets really expensive if you find out the damage was caused by the engine's computer which can send out faulty signals and damage the coils and injectors which is what happened to me.Slow right turns in the driveway will make a subtle grinding noise. At higher speeds, like when swaying towards the right at 20mph down the road it really makes noise. When I jack the rear up and start turning the wheel by hand, all seems fine.
