The GT4's throws are slightly shorter than the GTS', but yes otherwise I believe the gearbox is identical except for maybe some reinforcements and the clutch delay valve, though the latter isn't technically part of the gearbox. I also haven't been able to restart my GT4 just by pressing the clutch after a stall.

Anyway, getting back to Emira vs GT4. If you can get both at MSRP, the GT4 is a better buy from a financial perspective. However, if you're buying to enjoy, nothing else on the road will look like or drive like a Lotus (Emria), whereas most Porsche's pretty much look the same to the untrained eye.

Now there is one way to pass the time, buy the GT4 that most could only have hoped to get the last time around! I'm a little late to the GT4 game. I've been playing around with 1960-70 muscle cars. Started looking at sports car and came across the GT4. Found a dealer with one build allocation left. They want $20k above MSRP. I get to build the car they way I want it ,but $20K is harsh and I will not...The gt4 is the more track focused. The gt4 will be lower, stiffer, and substantially more powerful. Since you can't test drive the gt4 the only possibility would be to see if they have a gt3 you could compare to a 911s or gts.
