Personally I believe the 42re is a reliable transmission. It doesn't really seem to have any common issues, maybe bad solenoids. Mine has 231,000, seems fine. Use the correct fluid, keep them cool, use O/D off when towing anything. Enjoy. The fuel pump will need a power feed going to it. The OEM one isn't going to work anymore due to the motor etc being out of it. You will need to provide the fuel pump relay with another source of switched power, as the Jeep ECM is not providing one now. If the vehicle was an "AC delete", an idler pulley was put in place of the compressor. And-----there is NO WAY to "reroute" a shorter belt to bypass the need for the idler pulley.
