The dialogue about your past is very shallow and the main character dosemt really have to atone for anything because the jedi order just put in a new personality where revan once was. Kotor 2 didnt have a twist and its story was much better but as well kotor 2 was what made revan such a intriguing character.Kotor 1 either the Tatooine Tusken Raiser mission, or the Manaan Selksth one with Jolees friend at the court case. Kotor 2 I just enjoyed Kreia so much, even though I was not shocked by the twist. Pretty much anything with her, like the enclave. But also taking Nihlus down was amazing. The combat, at least to a veteran player like myself, isn't terrible. It isn't the best system in the world, but I like it due to how all the systems interact. KOTOR 2's skills and combat system is a little bit more involved (and better), but I wouldn't buy that on anything PC. I would buy KOTOR 1 on anything PC.

KotOR has a really special place in my heart, but the story is very simple and predictable. That's perfectly okay, though. The films, afterall, were very similar, with blatant heroic vs. villainous actions. Even with an obvious twist, it handled it very well. Although the Revan reveal is an important part of what makes the game great there's plenty of other components that make the game awesome. I actually got it spoiled partway through my first playthrough, but I still greatly enjoyed it and have replayed since. While having a twist spoiled can harm a narrative, a great twist is one that sits inside a well written story and that enhances the story whether you know it or not.
