Bikes, cars, trains, whatever, are now in place and we don’t need horses anymore. Some just don't like to be forced to interact with animals, such as those afraid of dogs or allergic to dogs and cats. Some are against the idea of owning pets as they feel it is immoral to keep a sentient creature trapped inside a small yard or house. Some are against pets because they are bad for the local ecology and the overall environment.Biggest factor is that people don't really walk their cats. There are no such things as "cat parks." So you don't deal with issues where a cat suddenly runs after you or meows loudly enough to wake up the whole neighborhood. Simply put, cats aren't taken out in public that much so r/petfree people don't have to deal with them.I firmly believe all pet owners are mentally ill, naive or psychopathic. Either way, there's clearly something wrong with them. Owning an animal is disgusting. 48.
