I have the 65" TCL C725 and an Apple TV 4K. I have brightness issues when setting the Apple TV to use Dolby Vision. The TCL picks up the signal, but even on "Dolby Vision Bright" the brightness is quite low. To my amazement, switching the TV off and on again (with the TCL remote) sometimes fixes the issue, and it becomes much brighter.For the TCL QM8 I used the Calman ISF workflow, along with the TV’s advanced picture menu settings, to calibrate the image for best accuracy with SDR and HDR sources.

The QM8 leans a little too red. I get an extra 10" and can add a nice surround speaker system for the price of a 65" QM8. All in all, if I were strictly looking for a 65", I probably would still get the Q7 as it is still plenty bright, and it streams just as good quality as the QM8 and the blacks are still incredibly deep for 200 dimming zones.
