Trolling speed is everything. There's a big difference in lure depth between 2.5 and 3.5 MPH. This difference is amplified by using heavier rigs. 3. You have to put out more line on the boat rods than the board rods to get the same depth. I believe that included the max hp of a 200 Yamaha. I looked at several Defiance pilot house boats. At shows and checked their construction design, they are very solidly built. Rides good and handles rough water and keeps you dry and the high sides the are great for reeling in the big fish. I bought mine from Chatlee in Sanford NC. My father bought (2) Poke boats about 14 years ago from Ark. For those not familiar with a Poke boat, Its a hybrid between a canoe and a kayak. Fiberglass, kayak length with the longer canoe opening. Very good for floating the rivers. Question is they have minor wear and some of the fiberglass crosstitching is starting to show.

Then, notch out the PVC where the bar in the bottom of our rod holder is. Then, tie a small rope to your bow rail or console because if something gets hung up on the line, it will break your propstick right in half.
