It sounds like that Alpine (or something connected to it) is overloading that circuit. That is the B+ wire that goes to the radio connector. I'm not sure how the Alpine connects to the OEM wiring but you may need to add a separately fused B+ wire to the circuit. If you just have magnetic lights you stick on the back of the Jeep leave M1 alone. You should only have to pull the IOD to flat tow. Put the transfer case in neutral, transmission in park, leave the key in the ON/AC position, then pull the IOD fuse. If you pull that fuse you don't have to disconnect the battery.
