This video is exactly how my Staccato P is when the hammer is down. I think the video you posted is normal. But if the hammer is back, it is very positive engagement - it's either on or off. Although, my grip mitigates all of this as my thumb rides the safety when firing.

I don't think the XC is worth the price tag. You're getting tighter finish and a integrated comp for 2k more than a P or C2. I personally sold my XC and got a P instead and carry a C2 daily. But considering you can get it for 3600 makes it a bit more reasonable.
