You're stuck with the questline and don't know what to do next. [Read the link I provided] You're stuck because the Mechanist has not lowered the ramp so you can get up to the control room. Try walking towards the Mechanist and to the left and right side. There is a ramp on the left side that needs to be lowered. After my character said, "we have to get to the vault," the front door opened by itself, and I was able to leave the house. So yeah, this is clearly a bug affecting at least a handful of people.
