I have a 2015 Chevy Malibu 1LT with NOW 85,000 miles on the dash. The original problem started about a year ago. It started as the car when restarting from the Auto stop, just the radio would turn off. They replaced the battery cables and took to the Chevy house to get the computer reprogrammed. This fixed the problem for about a week.

Sep 8, 2019 · I have not seen reports of auto stop failure to restart on gen9 cars when the car has no other serious symptoms. Being a 2018 I'd take it to a dealer and have them diagnose. My guess is a sensor issue, battery issue, loose ground wire, or ECM problem. I believe there are even a couple bulletins and a service update for the ECM in the 18s. attached is the stock file. there is no tranny support though so I couldn't throw it on the dyno. Neat thing is they come with stock widebands so I'm doing a street tune right now. they're fun little cars. I'm currently boosting 19 psi and drops to 17 uptop.
