You will find the serial on thr bottom of the grip frame when you remove the grips. You have a model 34 22/32 kitgun with 4" barrel. Firearms safety is no accident. The M prefix was used exclusively on the .22/32 line of revolvers. These would include the Models 34, 35, 43, 51 and 63 (all of those except the Model 35 were Kit Guns). The M prefix came into use in 1969 and remained the sole sequence for this line of revolvers until the three-alpha numbers replaced them in 1983.

The hammer main spring is coil type with center rod and ball on lower end instead of leaf spring. RH side plate has only three screws.
