Good news, I finally spotted a used copy of the S/T Danzig debut. American 88697-14645-2 manufactured and distributed by Sony BMG Music Entertainment. Although there isn't a re-issue date anywhere, the American Flag and star on the spine suggest thats it's from the 2007 American moves to Sony re-issue campaign.

Doug Sax did it and it sounds fine. Steve Hoffman has said Doug Sax is his favorite mastering engineer. I wouldn't bother with some impossibly rare JPN disc that will be really hard to find and cost you $75. I must admit, I have the Sax remaster and a probably-late-model-LP pressing, and I prefer the Sax remaster.
