Glock 19 vs xd.
I think Glocks are preferable if you only shoot Glocks, and XD's are preferable if you shoot a lot of different pistols. imo it's due to the Glock's grip angle being different than 85% (arbitrary number) of the rest of the pistols on the market, notably the 1911. XD's are also easier on small hands.

Dec 1, 2006 · Only downsides to the XD [was] the finish that wore off, no extended slide releases (which is only needed for us lefties), and the fact that the IDPA crew doesn't think it's a Service Pistol due to it's trigger internals. The XD's slide is a little thicker than the G-19, but with the right holster it's a non-issue.

I have owned the Glock models 17, 19, 26, 36, 22, and 27. I have owned the XD models 45C, 9SC and recently purchased a XD40. Overall, I like the Glocks more than the XD's. A higher bore axis creates more flip. Another reason why I prefer glocks over XD's. I don't own an XDSC, but between my 19 and XD9 service, the XD has more muzzle flip.
