Most brands I can usually get to last 4-5 days without chipping, but it also depends on what I'm doing with my hands.

Because this is living skin, clipping it will cause it to callus and grow back hard and cracked (this is because the skin is basically trying to defend itself). I used to constantly clip mine and struggled with dry and cracked proximal nail fold. Give your nails a light buff with a buffing block and wipe with acetone before applying. The trick is to find the balance because if you use too much glue, you'll flood and then get big dried crusties. Acrylics aren't ruining your natural nails. It's the mother-frakking drill that techs use. You don't swipe it on quickly. You put a nice head of it on slowly. This is the finish topcoat so you want it nice and smooth. Like it was said already, cuticle remover, or a Russian manicure, so using a flame medium drill tip you can eat right through the cuticle. If you're using a diamond bit on a lower speed it's a bit harder to mash through living skin so I'd say give that a try.
