Most ecos in stellaris are self sufficient. A Mix of as many workers as needed and as many Specialists as possible. Worker based can mean, workers are more efficient or planets are more specialised, so you need less of both. Or you overproduce and trade. You could ignore consumer goods and trade for them.

However, if you are inclined towards Habitats, then take first Voidborne and then Master Builder, because there’s synergy there too.
