I have kids and wanted good public schools for them so that precluded living around Temple / MCPHU. That 30 miles converts to 1 1/4 hr commute in the morning and 45 minutes in the afternoon. I was also deciding between Temple and NYU and at the end of the day Temple is the obvious choice. excellent school clinically and academically. The location of the school isn’t great but I would take the subway there and back during normal hours and always felt fine - many students ride the subway at the same time.
