4.0 Idler Pulley. Howdy, to start I promise I've searched on the forum and google and haven't found an answer to my specific issue so here it goes. I've been rebuilding my Jeep as best I can for a year and half, almost ready to test start it but I don't know how to attach the idler pulley. I started with a 1990 4.2L and was given a 1991 4.0L.Basically that nut slides down and clamps down the hose. A picture may help because I've only ever seen the pressure fitting. It's kinda a pain to get on and off, but a 21mm wrench (shorter is better) will fit in there. You'll keep hitting the fan and will have to get 1/8th turn on one side of the fan, then move the wrench to the other side.Your easiest solution at this point is to cut away the offending area on the skid plate with torches, sawzall, cutting wheel, etc. around where the transfer case is contacting the skid plate. To remove board from housing, remove the 4 - torx 10 at red circles and 1- Torx 20 at green circle. Lift board carefully from opposite side of main connector, do not bend PCB. Oil pressure started dropping to zero at idle and I check the dip stick and the tip is burnt and I can't reading off it. The Jeep stalled while driving and wouldn't start back up so I had it towed home. I check fuses, all good. Tested all the relays in the fuse/relay box and all tested good. Tested the external relay from the TIPM recall and is good.
