Just finished the mod (I think? Unless Serana has more to say) and I liked it overall and recommend it but the romance felt way too rushed. Serana starts flirting during the Castle Volkihar quest and kisses you after the Soul Cairn which is like the 3rd quest of the DLC lol. Serana Dialogue Edit as you mention does and when using both together I wouldn't call it jarring but I often do notice the difference. As much as I didn't want to I recently dropped "Serana Dialogue Add-On. The added lines in the Serana Add-on were great but I'm happier than I thought I'd be using only Serana Edit which is also an excellent mod.

Serana sounds less like this ancient, confident yet torn vampire and more like an insecure schoolgirl relying on the player for approval. I don't necessarily mind changing the personality of an existing character - if a modder wants to do that, go ahead. But the mod shouldn't be presented as a "dialogue add-on" then.
