Demon Hunters seem like a strong contender for strongest overall class since they do use a fair bit of magic. Generally magic>might in the Warcraft lore. Taken as an average, Demon Hunters or Death Knights (it's a toss up between them) for sure. Why did Smolderon ally with Fyrakk? Raid dialogue suggests Smolderon thought Fyrakk could “free him from the shackles of the elemental plane”. However Smolderon isn’t confined to the elemental plane.
