When I got it home I tried to start it up by turning the ignition but nothing happens no sound no nothing. I am having the same issue on a 2003 500 sportsman, but only after I changed out the stator due to a charging issue. If you use the rope it will start every time but the key is a crap shoot. My thought was an ignition timing issue but do not know what to look for.

Two days ago, it would not start so I jump started it, ran for several minutes, would not start again, cranked it and it started OK. It ran for about 3-4 minutes and just died while driving it. New Can-Am won't start. I purchased a 2021 can am defender 2 weeks ago. Yesterday it wouldn't start. I kept messing with it by pulling it down into gear and back to park and finally got it to start. So today it would start and the only way I got it to start was to drop it down in high gear and put it back into park and it fired right up.
