Beyond that, the complaints are just subjective. Look, if you want a bullpup 12g, get a DP-12. At least it will actually function as designed and provide an advantage over a standard pump. It will also have the disadvantage of being heavier and bulkier. For practical use, get the 590.

I do own and shoot a Mossberg M590A1, Remington 870 HD, and a Winchester 1300 Defender - all are fine SGs and work well. I prefer the higher shell capacity on the 590 as well as other aspects such as the ambi thumb ...Benelli feels smoother cycling out of the box. Both are reliable and as far as finish goes you can clean the Mossberg if it starts to rust. I use both for upland and I think the Benelli feels slightly lighter or at least less front heavy. The controls are slightly different so I think it would come down to personal preference.I picked a new Benelli SuperNova a nd really like it; the only negatives on the Nova are less capacity and no lug for the bayonet. I do like the Nova having an AR style stock as I like having a PG on my stock. I would like to add a light to one of these.
